What’s a better purchase- the Canon 50 mm 1.2 or the 85 mm 1.2? Both lenses are spectacular, and have different specialties. Here are a few comparisons between these two lenses.
The 50 mm 1.2
- Super fast autofocus
- Focus isn’t as accurate as 85 1.2
- Allows for more varied use, better for small group shots
- ~$300 cheaper than 85 1.2
The 85 mm 1.2
- One of the sharpest lenses available on the market.
- Slower autofocus than 50 1.2
- More accurate focus than 50 1.2
- Better bokeh than 50 1.2
- Great focus length for portrait photography.

Love the color. I’m going to have to try out ur actions.
I dream with these lens everyday!!! If you use a full frame camera I think that the 85mm is better
I’ve read that the autofocus is really slow, but you don’t shoot sports, for example, or anything that requires fast focus… so i think the 85mm is the one
